How to pair Smart Key / Smart Key NANO to safe?

IMPORTANT Be sure to follow all steps to pair Smart Key. First pair the remote to your safe, then assign entry mode.

1 of 2: Pair Remote to your Safe

1) Press and hold the ‘5’ key then “PROGRAM” button together (3 seconds) until the LCD screen indicates connecting.

2) Press the remote button and aim at safe. Smart Key has a dual press. If the screen indicates complete and beeps, the Smart Key is paired successfully; if the screen indicates failed to pair then simply start over with step one.

2 of 2: Assign an Entry Mode

1) After pairing you can toggle entry modes from the keypad or Bluetooth app. To toggle from the keypad press and hold the ‘6’ key then “PROGRAM” button together. The LCD screen will indicate the selected mode.

OFF

Progressive Entry Mode
Safe goes into sleep mode and will require you to wake up the safe before using Smart Key. You can wake up the safe by pressing any key or brushing your hand across the keypad of the safe (backlit keys will turn RED).

On Demand Entry Mode
This mode grants immediate access to your safe without having to wake it up.
Warning: On Demand Entry Mode can open a safe in another room and/or out of sight. To reduce the risk of an unattended open safe we recommend using Progressive Entry Mode.

How to pair Smart Key PLUS to safe?

IMPORTANT Be sure to follow all steps to pair Smart Key

A. Set Your Pass Code(s)

B. Pair Smart Key PLUS to your safe.

C. Assign an entry mode.

1 of 3: Set Your Pass Code(s)

Smart Key PLUS can be programmed with up to (4) individual pass codes between 4 and 8 digits long.

1. Press and hold the corresponding numeric key and then the ENTER key together until the LED turns white.

INSERT GRAPHIC OF SMART KEY PLUS WITH “Set Code 01” “Set Code 02)” etc.

2. Enter your pass code, followed by ENTER key. The LED light will turn GREEN confirming your entry.

3. Enter pass code a second time, followed by the ENTER key. The LED light will flash GREEN completing program.

TIP! If the LED turns RED at any time, start the sequence over.

2 of 3: Pair Smart Key PLUS to your Safe

1) Press and hold the ‘5’ key then “PROGRAM” button together (3 seconds) until all status bar LEDs blink RED.

2) Aim remote at safe, and enter your pass code on the remote followed by the ENTER key. The LCD screen will indicate pairing is successful.

TIP! If the keypad turns RED at any time, start the sequence over.

3 of 3: Assign an Entry Mode

1) After pairing you can toggle entry modes from the keypad or Bluetooth app. To toggle from the keypad press and hold the ‘6’ key then “PROGRAM” button together. The LCD screen will indicate each select mode.

Progressive Entry Mode

2) Once paired test Smart Key PLUS functionality by entering your code and pressing enter.

How to set Smart Key PLUS codes?

Smart Key PLUS can be programmed with up to (4) individual pass codes between 4 and 8 digits long.

1. Press and hold the corresponding numeric key and then the ENTER key together until the LED turns white.

2. Enter your pass code, followed by ENTER key. The LED light will turn GREEN confirming your entry.

On Demand Entry Mode
This mode grants immediate access to your safe without having to wake it up.
Warning: On Demand Entry Mode can open a safe in another room and/or out of sight. To reduce the risk of an unattended open safe we recommend using Progressive Entry Mode.
On Demand Entry mode requires significant power usage and can greatly reduce operation time. We suggest setting the Smart Key to Progressive Entry Mode to conserve battery.

Smart Key is not working.

IMPORTANT Once you pair the Smart Key with your safe it will be immediately active to test functionality and then turn off. Smart Key will need to be set to either Progressive Entry Mode or On Deman Entry Mode. Refer to “How to assign an entry mode”.
