- Powered by a 9V alkaline battery (not included) with a battery life of up to one year under normal use. LifePod XRC can also be used without a battery and still function as a water resistant case. The front rubber keyhole cover disguises a hidden micro-USB port to power the unit in case of a dead battery, and features a low battery indicator in the keypad.
- Customize your setup for any mission with a fully modular lid - swap in lid organizers, molle panels, repositionable holsters, and storage pouches. Cinch it down and access gear on demand with LifePod XRC. Modular lid accessories are sold separately or included with the Plus model.

Reviews
Customers praised this premium firearm transport case for "excellent build quality" and reliable biometric/fingerprint access. Many noted it's "very heavy" when loaded but appreciate the wheels for mobility. Fits multiple firearms with modular interior, though several mentioned rifles with optics are tight and storage pockets are smaller than expected.
D
I just wish it was little larger. 2 inches larger on the sides and wider too. The handle should be metal because it gets REALLY heavy when filled in.
C
Amazing case I love it. Thank goodness for the wheels. It is so much heavier than my others. I know this case will outlast me though and last for my kids.
K
Build quality is awesome. Biometrics is fast and so many alternatives ways to get into the case.
I can fit a AR-15 and a shotgun in the case. I had to remove my LPVO to fit both into the case. So keep that in mind when purchasing and try the fitment tool.
My only request to vaultek is to provide the same strap attachments to the lid of the case, as you have on the bottom…so you can also strap a gun to the top lid. I love the accessories panels but I would like more gun storage space if possible.
Definitely would buy again.
M
Expensive but you get what you pay for. Vaultek is the best as always!
J
Best safe company hands down. I just bought my 6th. Can’t wait for it to arrive
C
Happy with this purchase. I’m not usually a fan of biometrics but it’s been very easy to use and much better than opening multiple locks. I like that it also has a key option if the battery fails. I wish they made larger home safes because I’d purchase one.
D
Very nice case. The storage pockets are smaller than expected...they looked bigger on the YouTube videos. Overall, it's a very nice case.
D
So far I like the case I haven't gone to the range with it yet so the verdict will be out on that once I go but other than that, I own six of your systems.
j
The XRC vault is wonderful. Was worried about spending the money on it. Was not disappointed. Would highly recommend. Made extremely well.
E
Case is nice, can hold numerous firearms, only drawback is case not quite long enough for long guns (for AR/Carbine lengths only).
D
The case is well made and very versatile! Very easy to configure and made with excellent quality. I love the easy setup with the codes and fingers print capability. It is VERY heavy, but with great quality comes great weight! I don’t mind it knowing my fire arms are well protected. I was able to fit 3 weapons. 1 AR 15, and 2 pistols with no issues. I also had room for all my magazines and gear! Exceptional product and company!
R
Another superior engineering solution, the Berkin of handgun and rifle luggage.
D
Absolutely impressed with the Vault Tech Lifepod XRC. The build quality is excellent, it feels durable and well thought out, and the design is both practical and sleek. Everything about it feels premium, from the materials to the functionality. It’s clear a lot of attention went into the details.
The Lifepod XRC gives me confidence that my gear is protected while still being easy to use and transport. It’s reliable, rugged, and exactly what I was looking for. Definitely worth the investment — highly recommend!
A
Love it! Wish there was one about 6 inches longer. The case is well built. Sturdy. Ready to travel with my weapons secure and show off my case at the range!
T
expensive, but very well made and excellent customer service.
B
I was a little hesitant due to price and being unable to put hands on before I ordered, but I took the plunge as I own three other Vaultek safes and have had zero issues over many years. Glad I did. This is a very hefty rifle/gun case/transport and all electronics worked perfectly. I doubt I’d take it to the range (VERY hefty), but who knows. I got the plus kit and I’m glad I did. With two firearms, both with optics and attachments, it was difficult to close lid and get lock to work until I changed out lid foam for molle sheets in the kit. This was more due to my attachments than the case/safe. I’m sure vanilla firearms would fit fine. If I needed another lockable case for long guns, I would buy again.
N
Absolutely amazing extremely versatile love it simple slim profile and the prices right on point
L
This is my second purchase from Vaultek. The purchasing experience is top notch making it easy to choose the best product for my needs. The product itself is well made, and the initial setup instructions are very good. I highly recommend Vaultek to anyone looking for home security solutions.
U
The LifePod XRC is a well-constructed safe for whatever you need to store and protect. Like other LifePod enclosures, it comes with a cable to connect it to something substantial so it can't "walk away". The cable is easily cut through, which really only keeps honest people honest. If someone wants your safe, it's theirs. The outer shell makes the entire case rather sexy. But it scratches easily and can be marred with little effort. If there is a fire, the safe will simply melt around your valuables until your valuables begin to combust. So, not safe when the possibility of a fire exists. I'm using this XRC to store weapons, and the current weight of the whole case now exceeds 60lbs. This makes the wheels a must. I can store many handguns and magazines in the lid; however, you can only fit two rifles in the case but only if there are no optics on the rifles. Another issue I have found is that if you mount handguns in the lid, when you close the safe, they push down onto the rifles and or optics. As long as you don't shake the safe (by dragging it across the surface of the road, for instance) I do not believe the shuffling of the weapons against each other will damage any of the objects. Overall, a great safe, with just a few minor issues. I'd buy it again, but then I own more than one rifle with optics on them, so I kind of need another one.
C
Vaultek answered the questions I had before purchase. The purchase went smoothly, and shipping was fast. The LifePod XRC is an awesome case. Most importantly, I feel like I can securely store my firearms in my vehicle when I need to and not have to worry about them walking away. The features are great and the case looks great too.
R
Fast shipping, great products, they are worth every penny. I purchased the Colion Noir lifepod, a smaller lifepod and I love both so much that I just ordered the XRC 100i plus rifle case. Humidor will be next.
D
Quick ship and well made as expected, I already own the original and was glad to see a bigger model so I jumped when I saw it.
R
The customer service was great and the quality of the case I bought was perfect. Both my AK and My AR fit seamlessly and on top of that setting up the extra valcro board was simple and strait forward as well and the straps that hold them down. When I take the case to the range there is no movement on the inside because it's held down nice and tight. The Finger print scanner makes getting into my case super fast and easy and the key is also helpful just in case.
E
This is my first vaulteke product, the Lifepod XRC. The construction is rugged and durable. There are so many ways to configure the interior to your liking. The fingerprint scanner and keypad works flawlessly securing your firearms. I will be purchasing more products in the future.
C
Great products matched with great customer service.
S
The product has been great, excellent safe. Convenience for quick access if the need ever arrives with safety knowing it's out of reach of the kids. I had a little issue with the electronic display and I contacted vaultek who got back to me and explained how to fix the issue within a few hours. Highly recommend for product quality and for customer service.
c
Works like a charm. Glad I got the larger vault as there is plenty of space to retrieve the pistol rather than trying to work out a firearm that just barely fits.
T
Works exactly as advertised. The safe looks kind of like a 1970’s alarm clock.
😎
The safe is great in most ways, except that it does NOT fit a gun with the shelf for edc stuff. Not able to close and I am only using a p365 legion. Not a full size 1912 etc
K
Works great, it's bigger than I expected but that's not a bad thing.
F
quick shipping great product
