- Quickly Accessible. LifePod XRC features dual multi-point compression latches that make the case airtight - and the unique design can be either latched or unlatched simultaneously when using both hands. The built-in lock system secures the case and is accessible either by biometric (20 fingerprints) or the programmable Smart Senseâ„¢ keypad.Â
- The modular strap system features 12 different anchor points in the base to cinch gear in place and quick release buckles, while the padded interior provides shock-absorbing protection during transport. Two sets of straps are included, a quick release buckle style and a cinch style for greater holding power.Â
- Built-In Lock System incorporates Vaultek’s precision engineered safe technology and anti-impact latch design. LifePod XRC features a 4-point built-in locking system allowing you to quickly lock the LifePod for added security when needed. Meets TSA guidelines. - Weather Resistant Protection from dual multi-point compression latches and inner rubber gasket seal off the interior from environmental elements. LifePod XRC is weather resistant, airtight, dust-proof, floats, and is TSA compliant.
- Powered by a 9V alkaline battery (not included) with a battery life of up to one year under normal use. LifePod XRC can also be used without a battery and still function as a water resistant case. The front rubber keyhole cover disguises a hidden micro-USB port to power the unit in case of a dead battery, and features a low battery indicator in the keypad.
- Customize your setup for any mission with a fully modular lid - swap in lid organizers, molle panels, repositionable holsters, and storage pouches. Cinch it down and access gear on demand with LifePod XRC. Modular lid accessories are sold separately or included with the Plus model.

I just wish it was little larger. 2 inches larger on the sides and wider too. The handle should be metal because it gets REALLY heavy when filled in.

Happy with this purchase. I’m not usually a fan of biometrics but it’s been very easy to use and much better than opening multiple locks. I like that it also has a key option if the battery fails. I wish they made larger home safes because I’d purchase one.

Case is nice, can hold numerous firearms, only drawback is case not quite long enough for long guns (for AR/Carbine lengths only).

The case is well made and very versatile! Very easy to configure and made with excellent quality. I love the easy setup with the codes and fingers print capability. It is VERY heavy, but with great quality comes great weight! I don’t mind it knowing my fire arms are well protected. I was able to fit 3 weapons. 1 AR 15, and 2 pistols with no issues. I also had room for all my magazines and gear! Exceptional product and company!

I was a little hesitant due to price and being unable to put hands on before I ordered, but I took the plunge as I own three other Vaultek safes and have had zero issues over many years. Glad I did. This is a very hefty rifle/gun case/transport and all electronics worked perfectly. I doubt I’d take it to the range (VERY hefty), but who knows. I got the plus kit and I’m glad I did. With two firearms, both with optics and attachments, it was difficult to close lid and get lock to work until I changed out lid foam for molle sheets in the kit. This was more due to my attachments than the case/safe. I’m sure vanilla firearms would fit fine. If I needed another lockable case for long guns, I would buy again.

Giving the Vaultek XRC 4 stars. The product itself is premium and the weather resistant is solid. Wheels make it easy to move. Only reason for 4 instead of 5 is the battery could last a bit longer between charges. But I'd still recommend it without hesitation.

I wanted to write a comprehensive review of the LIFEPOD XRC because I feel like people should know what they're getting. First off, the packaging was great — well protected and clearly done with care. When I first picked up the LIFEPOD XRC, the weight and build quality were immediately noticeable. This is a serious piece of equipment, not some flimsy toy.
Perfect for range day. The wheels has been rock solid since day one. I've tested it dozens of times now and it works every single time without fail. The large capacity is another great feature that I use daily.
Setup took me about 10-15 minutes and the instructions were clear enough. I will say — charge it fully before your first use. Overall I'm extremely satisfied and would recommend the LIFEPOD XRC to anyone. Five stars, easy.

I was a longtime customer of a competitor brand until I tried the LIFEPOD XRC. I'm never going back.
The difference in quality is immediately obvious. The LIFEPOD XRC is heavier, sturdier, and more thoughtfully designed than anything I've used before. Fits rifles and pistols. It just works, every single time.
The modular interior is in a completely different league compared to what I was using. Fast, accurate, and reliable. The wheels is something my old safe didn't even have, and now I wonder how I lived without it.
I've now bought three Vaultek products total and each one has been excellent. The LIFEPOD XRC is my favorite though. If you're considering switching brands, do it. You won't regret it.
