Vaultek 30/20/10 Series

Very upset with the V30i essential , the biometrics is simply extremely poor, we have several fingerprints and it’s intermittent at best.. I can from the pro VTI it had Bluetooth , nano key and app supported . This one is same price but far less in options runs on batteries you have to replace, no nano key , no app and simply put the biometrics is so bad so unreliable it’s pathetic!! I’d be very worried in a tough situation, I’m taking it back and going to something else … my VTI pro was great but it’s charging port went bad right at the two year warranty mark . I got screwed !! Blown $1200 bucks in 2 years with this company and not happy !! My slider is good though never had an issue with that one but this new V30i is so bad I can’t recommend it to anyone who thinks they’ll ever need it to work in a scary situation totally unreliable!!

I am extremely disappointed with this Vaultek safe. It’s only about a year old, and the charging port has already developed a serious defect. The charging cable no longer stays connected unless I wedge something underneath it to hold it in place. Without doing that, the safe won’t charge reliably.

This isn’t just an inconvenience—it’s a major safety concern. A firearm safe is something you depend on when seconds matter. If the charging port fails completely and the battery dies, you could be locked out of your own safe during an emergency when you need immediate access. That is simply unacceptable for a product designed to securely store a firearm.

For a premium-priced safe, I expected much better quality and durability. A charging port should last far longer than a year under normal use. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this safe due to what appears to be a critical design or quality issue. Reliability is the most important feature of a firearm safe, and unfortunately, this one has failed to meet that expectation.

I wanted to update my previous review because I believe a company should be recognized not only for its products, but also for how it responds when a customer experiences a problem.

I initially had an issue with the charging port on my Vaultek safe after about a year of ownership. Because this is a firearm safe, reliability is extremely important to me, and I was understandably concerned and disappointed.

After contacting Vaultek, however, I was extremely impressed with their response. Their customer service team took my concerns seriously, responded quickly, and ultimately replaced my safe with a brand-new unit. They did not make me go through an unnecessarily difficult process or leave me feeling like I had to fight to get the issue resolved.

This is exactly how excellent customer service should be handled. Products can occasionally have problems, but what separates a great company from the rest is how they stand behind their products and take care of their customers when something goes wrong.

Vaultek’s response completely changed my experience. Their willingness to stand behind their product and provide a brand-new replacement restored my confidence in both the safe and the company.

Impressed with build quality and ease of setup.

I bought three safes and I just had an incident of a stranger approach my front door. I tried to access my gun but it failed to open four times despite inputting the correct code and the number pad flashing green.

Can't fail in critical moments and it did.

Extremely well built. Love the backup battery option. I probably put my fingerprint 20 times just to make sure it always reads it. Can never be too safe. It gives you options with keys for entry as well as a code. Looks sleek fits my mag and my gun perfectly snug and it even has a light. For the price I would say it's absolutely worth it. The app is easy to navigate as well and set up. 10 out of 10 recommend 💯

The instructions to set up the number code and biometric print weren’t as fluid as I thought they should be.
Also, when looking at the Vaultek YouTube video about the safe, I was impressed with the size. From the video the “10” also looked muscular or built differently from other safes I’ve had but it was a let down.
Other than that I’m happy to have another safe where I need one in my home.

Definitely what we were looking for. Secure, communicates with my phone when attempted access, can quickly open when required and provides peace of mind.

Best in class on every level. If this size works for you, get it.

Biometrics is not reliable. Tried programming fingerprints multiple times, including wiping out previous fingerprints to start over, even doing a factory wipe. Couldn’t get it to consistently open wtug biometrics. I returned this.

the safe has potential but there are issues. Perfect bedside solution which is nice, but the quick access doesn't always work on the first try. I've had to reset it twice already. Build quality is good though — it's really just the software side that needs improvement. Will update if things get better.

I have owned a Vaultek Lifepod for a few years and was so happy and impressed with the quality of it I bought one for my nephew when he moved into his own home. Would highly recommend.

Safe came damaged.

I love the safe, only problem is that it frequently drops wifi in the middle of the night and does not reconnect. Otherwise it would be 5 stars

Nice little gun safe to handle overflow in gun room.

Overall, I like the safe, but I also have some concerns. First off, I get "offline" warnings every couple of days. Now, maybe that is my internet, but I doubt it; it's probably the safe. Secondly, the fingerprint scanner is good, but it isn't great. Sometimes, it takes a try or two before it works. Thirdly, is that the setup instructions are truly awful. The connection instructions that came with my unit didn't actually apply to my unit. That caused me hours of frustration before I contacted support to find out that the instructions they gave me were wrong for my unit. How does that happen? Great idea, poor execution.

I have had multiple small safes over the years to store my duty weapons as a law enforcement officer. I have had many different brands with with a myriad of locking mechanisms, and the Vaultek 20 Series is by far the best I have used. I love the auto-opening feature after initiating the quick biometric sensor, and the LED in the safe is very helpful in the dark. I have already ordered another to upgrade my wife's old Gun Vault safe.

Purchased the same model for a second home. Hope the next round they are making them just a little bigger. A little disappointed in the Bluetooth app, which I forgot to set up on the first safe. Only works local, not with Wi-Fi. Guess that might be a safety hazard.

It’s better than described. I bolted it down to my floor in my bedroom. And holds everything I need. It’s totally state of the art.

It is a wonderful product that was easy to order, set up and use. The love it.

I purchased the VAULTEK smart gun safe a couple years ago and have no regrets. Customer service and the warranty are top notch. I will buy from them again.

Bought it for my bedroom. Works fantastic. Keep my 9mm Glock in there with a few extra valuables. Live the light is gives off also. Kind of an extra night light. Very impressed. Will probably buy another one soon for my son’s upcoming birthday. Highly recommend.

Overwhelmed with professionalism! I had an issue with my safe and the team took it very seriously, as it was a real concern. They addressed the issue and deemed a warranty replacement was essential. Fast acting and very knowledgeable staff (Morgan) made sure to tackle my problem head on and made me feel as if they really cared about me as the consumer. I've had my safe for just about 5 years with no issues, working properly when needed. It acted up this one time and they immediately made good on it. Very well done Vaultek, myself and wife are very impressed! Thank you!
