ViSN RS500i

The safe is pretty portable but heavy move upstairs, and the RS500I Features are pretty unique. The drawbacks I had with this safe is my closest is cluttered, the price isn't worth it + the accessories are trial and error, and I couldn't fit my AR with ACOG + RMR HD on it other than facing the grip sideways.

I did NOT receive the Lifepod that was supposed to come with my safe. I emailed them about this and received no response. Wasted my money.

The safe itself is great, but I paid for something I did not receive.

It's a nice safe, the tech is great, and is has some nice features. It's a great safe for a few weapons in a single room or area of your house, shop, ect. I like the app and love the tech side of it. Very easy to use and set up.
It falls short in a few areas at this price point. For this amount of money it doesn't come with the 4 AA batteries and the nano battery?? Seriously? Come on guys. Batteries are cheap, include batteries for christs sake. Just a silly over sight that right out the gate is a major annoyance.

The base plate being a separate item is a bit of an annoyance as well. Might as well just get it, because you can only mount this if its flush against a wall. Now this wouldn't be an issue, except it needs to be pugged in, so you are limited on where it can go. I get why it isn't included as not everyone will need it, but I feel like that's gonna be a small percentage of folks.
Not a deal breaker, just more money you have to spend on an already very expensive safe.

The included rifle mounts it comes with are cheap plastic and foam . You have this really nice safe and then these things that feel like an after thought. They gotta cost barely anything to make. They only work for rifles that have longer barrels, and barely. The magnetic extenders are, well, kinda hit and miss. On one hand they click in and are strong against the plate, but if you have any kind of optic, accessory's, suppressors, and need to stack em, that second one barely holds onto the first and they are useless. It would have been nice had they included one or two of the wider ones instead of just these.

Overall I like it. It's just these little things that feel like after thoughts at this price point. I have some of there other stuff that I really like and is why I decided to give one of these a go.

Love the safe. I have a smaller Vaultek Safe. The only thing i would say is that for the price point you should be provided with more customization options. At least a shelf for ammo. Thats the only reason why i gave it a 4 out of 5 stars.

RS500 is damaged, and I am having difficulty finding a responsive customer service representative. Will likely result in a chargeback.

Won’t hold an online status despite good WiFi signal

It the right size for my needs.I am trying to get away from the massive gun safes of the past. Get the tight size and protection I need.

The safe is high speed and modular, exactly what I wanted for quick and secure access with little ones around. My RS500i motherboard died, and when I alerted customer support they tried to replace it. When they realized the motherboard was no longer available, they told me they would be shipping a brand new replacement safe (and the latest version of the safe!). Now I have one fully functioning RS500i, and one mechanically functioning older RS500i. Double capacity!

Long time customer! Started with a lifepod grew into their larger safes and sliders and LOVE THEM!!! This by far is a superior company offering a far advanced product and even better customer service. Any questions are addressed by customer service almost immediately and they stand behind their products. Will be adding more to my collection very soon.

The customer service makes a purchase from this company worth every penny. Don't be fooled by cheap imitators. Vaultek stands behind its product. I had a minor issue with my safe, and they resolved it promptly.

The quality of the product is what has me hooked. Vaultek products are made very well are well thought out. Nothing is perfect, but these products are very well done. So far I own 3 Vaultek safes and I am very happy with my selections. I will be adding to my collection soon.

Love the product concept. Fully configurable! The biggest challenge i had was getting started with it. The documentation just was not particular precise or clear enough. It took many tries before i finally got it setup to use my combo. Wasn't super happy that the combo is limited to chars 1-8 as I like to use 0 and 9 for some situations. I Bought the RS200 accessories kit of which two major items are not usable because they are too deep and clash with accessories on the door. All in all i wish i had purchased the RS500 instead of the RS200 so it would be easier to use. I would DEFINTELY buy Vaultek again if i had to choose.

The first month has been great! The gun safe features, the space in the safe, the accessibility, the web tools... all acceded my expectations and then some. I'll do another review after a year.

I have 2 Lifepods 2.0 and the RS500 so I was excited about getting the new MX with the VISN. I love it my old disappointment is it doesn’t run off the same app as my RS500 and I can’t upgrade the RS to VISN to share fingerprints. I wish they offered an upgrade policy. It’s the perfect safe

Very reliable and safe

I had my Vaultek PRO MXi safe for few years now. Amazing safe but i started to have problems with the front door that would not open on me. Contacted Vaultek customer service and got a reply within hours asking me for the serial # . Safe was out of warranty but they said that if i will cover shipping it to them and back to me they will cover parts and labor! That was amazing as i was worried that it will cost me a fortune. Amazing customer service!!!

I ordered accessories to outfit the RS500i I got for Christmas. What I didn't know was that my wife already had accessories on the way. So, I ended up with a bunch of duplicates. I've been waiting for a return tag for the last 6 days. Great products, friendly crew, but no follow through.

I recently picked up a vaultek safe for use in my upstairs bedroom. The safe was easy to set up, made of quality materials and looks awesome on my nightstand.

I want to give an honest and thorough review of the Vaultek RS500i because I think it's important for people to hear from real customers.

Let me start with what I love. The build quality on the Vaultek RS500i is excellent. It feels solid, looks premium, and inspires confidence. The anti-pry bars is fantastic — fast, reliable, and easy to set up. Room for all my handguns.

The biometric scanner is another feature I've come to really appreciate. It adds convenience that I didn't even know I wanted.

Now, a couple things to be aware of. The instructions could be slightly more detailed for people who aren't tech-savvy. And the Vaultek RS500i is heavier than you might expect from the photos, which is actually a good thing in terms of quality but just be prepared.

Overall, I'm extremely happy with my purchase. The Vaultek RS500i is a premium product from a company that clearly cares about quality. I've already ordered another one for a different location. Highly recommend.
