ViSN Smart Station DS5i

Learned about this type of gun safe actually from another competitor. Then I learned about Vaultek because someone in the comment section mentioned it in that competitor’s ad on Instagram. Glad I looked up Vaultek and found / learned about the NDS5i. It is expensive but worth every dollar. Great heavy duty feel, soft close is smooth, and the tech is great. Love the look. For the price, I’m surprised that the standard button ViSN Nano key 3.0 isn’t included. Overall, very pleased that I now have my handguns next to me should I need to access them in the middle of the night. Love it!

Absolutely love it. Large enough to fit 2 full size just like the description says. I got the mounting plate as well as install was super easy. Setup in the app only took a few seconds. The wireless charging and usb ports on the back are extremely convenient. The only slight issue i had was the app said the firmware needed updated but failed a couple times when i went to update it. Got it sorted out quickly and has been perfect since. I love that the app tells me if someone opens the safe or tried to and fails (like my kiddos messing with it). I got the nano key 3.0 as well. Setup for that was a little bit trickier. Review of that with the nano key.

Great product need an upgrade for the wireless charger doesn't want to work with my Samsung S25 Ultra with the protective case being used.

Not worth the price point. Mine and my wife’s fingerprints hardly work. I’ve even programmed my right index finger on 2 separate profiles and it still won’t read it 90%+ of the time. Having to quickly access the safe in the middle of the night is not something I’d bet on. The USB ports also aren’t working. And after spending over $500, it’s quite frustrating. To top it off, I prefer speaking on the phone when you have these issues and I haven’t found a way to speak to anyone. Everything is done via email from what I found.

This safe is excellent. It holds everything I need with room to spare. The only thing missing is an alarm with the clock. If you came out with one that has an alarm, I may just upgrade mine.

This safe is even nicer than I expected and i love that I can monitor everything from the app!

This is more for the customer service I received. I ended up having a problem with my safe and the customer service team was very helpful and generous with resolving my issue. Basically after a year or two my safe had issues with some of the electronic features. After troubleshooting they sent me a new one. I'm definitely going to be buying more products from them after this.

Nice safe to store guns beside bed THE USB C AND USB STOPPED WORKING AFTER 6 months i didn’t even used them much only twice. They now dont work hopefully vaultek will fix this.

It's a very nice vault. Perfect for what my husband needed.

Overall this is a great gun safe, but a terrible phone charger.

Cons:
#1-9: The wireless charger is terrible. You need to be millimeter precise in placing your phone. I have been burned many times thinking my phone was charging, when it was not. It is very aggravating to spend 2-3 min to get the placement right.
#10: it is heavy

Overall: If you want a well built, reliable, and very slick gun safe, this thing is awesome.
If you want to charge your phone on it, this will drive you mad.
Spend less money on the basic version and get a separate wireless charger to put on top

Great safe, easy to set up. My only issue is the phone charging. Mag safe iPhone cover does not grab when placing the iPhone on the top charger. Other than that, great product! Highly recommend.

I placed an order for this $560 safe and never received it. Opened up a support ticket with FedEx and they said they couldn’t locate the package so they closed the support ticket and for me to contact vaultek. Called 3 times at various times over 2 days and couldn’t get anyone. So much for 5 star service. I’ve now changed my mind and want my $699 refunded which includes an activation button and mounting plate or I’ll just dispute the charge with my cc company. If it’s this hard to get ahold of someone I wonder what would happen if I had a problem with the safe.

It would be great if it connected to wifi.

Nice if the directions were written on a third grade level, Vidios showing how and where batteries go, someone new to your products needs help sooner than three days, replacing the wire cable with the metal bracket to hang the safe on or under a desk, I was a little surprised at the knowledge level of customer service team, I mean the lack of knowledge

A great investment for sure to protect my guns.

The safe has many good features and is ideal for keeping children and other non-criminals from accessing your firearms. The DS5i allows quick and safe access if needed. I wish to top cordless charging stations were magnetic, as I find it cumbersome to find the exact position to place my phone, and you need to be careful not to bump it off the charging station. The biometric access is occasionally intermittent, but not much different from other biometric fingerprint mechanisms. Being made in China, I am concerned about the reliability, and hoping Vaultek has good service when repairs are needed.
