Every day, Derek receives heartbreaking alerts from across the country: children harmed or killed by unsecured firearms. These notifications, while painful, fuel his passion to prevent future tragedies. He’s determined to reach as many families as possible, offering education and practical solutions to ensure that gun owners can protect their families without sacrificing safety.

That shared goal brought Vaultek and the Kids Safe Foundation together. As Derek tours the country, hosting life-saving firearm safety classes, Vaultek proudly stands beside him as the official sponsor of this impactful initiative. The tour covers four states — Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, and Arkansas — and has impacted thousands of families.
Through interactive classes, like the Kids Firearm Safety 101, Derek and his team discuss firearm safety in the home. Children are taught what to do if they find a firearm. The goal is to equip kids with the knowledge to make safe decisions if they ever encounter an unsecured firearm.
