Great safes and very sturdy, durable! I purchased 2 safes 1. Vaultek MRē 2. Vaultek Barikade For the MRē I thought I was purchasing a biometric version based on the photos of the listing, when I received the safe it was standard keypad without biometrics, so I investigated and realized that yes the photos show both biometric version and the standard "essential" version so on my end I just didn't read the description very well which states it's not biometric. With that being said I'm not unhappy because the safe is very well built and to set up your personal pass code is fairly simple! As for my Barikade purchase it's compact and has biometric scanner that works fantastic for quick access! It's slightly more difficult to program pass codes verses the MRē but still simple enough! My Barikade houses valuables and I removed the shelf out of the MRē so I could place the Barikade safe inside of it for added security!! And my less valuables just rest on top of my Barikade within the MRē safe. I definitely achieved my plans and purpose buying these 2 safes and would highly recommend if you need something very clean and simple yet sturdy and tough. Also in person it's very appealing to the eye. When you hold it in your hands you know it's money well spent. Very fast shipping as well which also pleased me! I'm a first time buyer and with a little research and review reading I came upon doing business with "Vaultek Safes" So minus the fact I didn't read the description on the MRē well enough thinking I was getting the biometric version I still give this company 5 Stars for overall excellent business. I would say that the photos on the MRē "essential" listing should be of the "essential" model only and not have pictures of the biometric version within them. And the same for all listings of safes in case someone makes the same mistake I did. Thankyou Vaultek for these amazing safes I do not regret my purchase one bit!

The safe is excellent quality. The configuration process easy. It is currently in use and owner very happy.

I originally bought the biometric version of the Barikade 1; after "hours" of adding my print based on my index finger I returned the safe and went with the basic keypad version. The biometric version simply was not reliable for me despite multiple programing efforts with my index finger. After exhaustive efforts I determined that in a stress situation that the biometric version would not save time and would likely more stress as I'd probably need to adjust my finger, try multiple times etc. In testing fingerprint reliability, I was often needing more than one try to trigger the lock. With the basic keypad version, I'm very satisfied that I can open the safe efficiently and quickly and without adding undue stress. I think the safe is well made and will serve me well. The Biometric version is a 3-star unit- the basic version is a 5-star unit

Easy to install. Works as advertised and easy to use

I got 2 Barikade safes for my vehicles. From a recent encounter with a mountain lion I decided to have a permanent secure storage area in my vehicles for a firearm. Heavy duty, and heavy metal safe mounted through the floor under the passenger seat, barely visible. I was impressed with how heavy and solid the unit is and having it mounted permanently under the seat makes it nearly impossible to breach or take. I got in on holiday sales, and the shipping was fast. So glad I went this direction, I am recommending this to my friends. Our state also recently made a safe storage law so this will eliminate any issues when being pulled over.

This is my first V.safe I love the looks and overall quality seems great ! I will call them soon and have to return this unit as the biomatrics is not working , it’s actually super non reliable ! We ordered this safe primarily for the biomatrics option for quick access to our fire arms in case of emergencies, after I receive my new safe I’ll come back and edit the review

Finger print scanner does not work. Worked for the first couple of weeks. Now it does not. Could you imagine if this had been an actual emergency?

Just unboxed my first vaultek safe. It is a Barikade series 1. Unfortunately, it seems to have been damaged during shipping. I was really disappointed but immediately reached out to Vaultek customer service. They replied in just a few hours to tell me they were shipping me a brand new replacement- no questions asked. I couldn't believe how responsive they were and the length they would go to to ensure I was happy. Vaultek has made me a repeat customer for sure.

Vaultek company and their employees specially Morgan help me out when the store where I purchased the gun safe i bought and they won’t refund nor allow me to exchange my item just because I don’t have the original box but when I email the company Vaultek they respond right away and they were so helpful that they accepted my return item with the original box with the full price and an option to add some extra money to get the right item that I really like/needed,so I’m happy and grateful and satisfied how they handle issues like this, and for that every gun safe when you need one don’t bother to get it from somewhere else but instead go to vaultek web and I guarantee you you won’t regret it 100% satisfaction guaranteed

100% recommend I ordered the vaultek barikade 1 series and for some reason wasn't working properly reached out to them explained the situation. The Vaultek Barikade does everything I need it to do. I actually prefer it better than some of the other options due to the fact that the locking hinges are inside the safe itself when locked. Good space, and tech with biometric option!
