Important Battery Maintenance Tips for your Vaultek Safe
Ensuring your Vaultek Safe remains in top working condition.

1. Replace the Battery Every Two Years
Change the batteries in your safe every 2 years. This is especially important for any safe that runs on a rechargeable lithium-ion battery. Even if your safe is still functioning, old batteries can lose their efficiency, potentially compromising the safe’s performance and lifetime of the safe.
*This does not apply to Vaultek safes that have a built-in battery.
2. Physical Inspection
Avoid any battery that has any physical damage, as they may not be safe for us and could cause problems.
3. Brand Selection
For optimal performance, use high-quality, name-brand batteries:
- AA/AAA/9V: Use Duracell/Energizer or other reputable brands.
- 18650 Rechargeable: Replace with Samsung or Panasonic battery. Ensure you purchase the FLAT TOP type when selecting your 18650 battery. For safety and reliability, avoid purchasing unknown brands, as they may not meet the necessary quality standards. *Only applies to safes that use a rechargeable 18650 lithium-ion battery and not ones built-in the safe.
