LifePod XR

I've got 3 of their 20 series safes, 2 LifePod XT's, a LifePod XR, and a Smart Station clock safe. They're all well built and sturdy and do a great job at protecting valuables or firearms from unwanted access or smash and grab robberies. On top of great products, they also have top-notch support. I recently had an issue where after almost 3 years one of the keypad buttons on my VE20 starting requiring extra pressure to register. They immediately sent me out a refurb unit to replace it. Unfortunately, after a couple weeks the refurb unit stopped opening properly, but after reporting that, they immediately sent me out a brand new unit under warranty. Very helpful and very responsive.

Great and innovative product. Impeccable customer service. Had small issue with product purchased. Customer service promptly answered email and offered problem solving. Exhausted all attempts and issued replacement with asking them to do so.

Let me start by saying that I love Vaultek products and own more than I care to count; multiples of every version of their Lifepod line. My recent purchase was a CN Edition of the Lifepod XR. At first glance it was a little smaller than expected in relation the the XT but that's OK. Same great quality product as usual. My disappointment was that being a "Range Edition" version it comes with three pistol slots and one magazine rack. My intention was to use for my compact size pistols. The Rub is that no pistol with an attached red dot sight will likely fit this case. it simply is not deep enough to close the lid. Full size pistols will note even fit in the racks. If you have extended magazines...forget it. I considered returning it because its the most expensive version of the XR...but it still is a very nice size option for certain applications. To fit my Sig P320 Legion Flux Raider, I removed all of the pistol racks and the magazine rack, for possible use later. It fits the case if you don't use the 30 round mags. To prevent it from getting possible scratches I wrap it in a heavy golf towel. I was hoping that Vaultek makes a soft insert like they dot for the XT...but no luck, YET. Summary...this is a great case but IMHO...not for the range as most modern pistol has electronic sighting systems that prevent it from closing. The other two options of the XR might be a better choice. This is why I rate it 4 and not 5 stars.

Product arrived quickly and it works as promised. I am having some difficulty programming the biometric, but believe that is on me, not the product.

Meanwhile purchased (4) Vaultek products and will be adding a 5th when arriving at the new home. We are moving and vehicle break-ins are more prevalent and safeguarding sensitive documents and equipment becomes more of a stressor than ever. Although pricey, having easier access with number codes and bio-metrics is a game-changer in travel and industry involving the need for access to documents while also requiring those documents are safe when not in use. Smaller life-pod units offer portability and the larger XR/XT versions offer combined transport for EDC items as well as secure documents and personal identification as a carried substitute for a briefcase (although the XT can get heavy) OR storage for a vehicle or boat that assists in maintaining legal compliance with even the most restrictive states while minimizing time to access if firearms are a job requirement (I.e. XR case used to store firearm, credentials/badges, partial gun-belt or firearm accessories including EDC essentials, eye-pro, and earpro, with a supplemental mini life podX for three loaded magazines if your state requires separation during transport). I think the cases are not necessarily marketed for sensitive paperwork or credentials but really should because of the waterproofing properties and (with humidor versions) are likely to be built with additional humidity control for case interiors. Whether for lawyers, transport of protected medical or financial documents, organization specific secure transport requirements… these cases and their current and future modalities ought to be the future of occupational security. Tethers included for all (no handcuffs and chains required)… and I can’t wait for a slimmer and less conspicuous briefcase version (especially if it could fit tablets and compact EDCs while allowing the same rapid access but securing whatever electronics you carry if rapid deployment is required. The team was amazing, they went above and beyond. I bought the life pod XR and my gun that I bought didn’t fit into it, they offered to refund it for me. When they sent the return label I noticed it was 10 minutes from my house. They allowed me to drop it off there in person when I did they came out and brought the larger life pod case and my gun fit. I did not ask they did this as a service and it was way beyond my expectations. I bought the larger life pod XT noir edition before I left the parking lot. the service here is off the charts. The product is amazing and the service is even better!

I have several safes and found them to be the best so far. I did have an issue with the lifepod XR and the company stood behind their warranty!

I have a Vaultek MX-WiFi Large Capacity wall safe and a lifepod XR. The wall safe has been working wonderfully since 09/2020. The Lifepod I bought in Dec. 2023. Recently, I noticed the the black "paint" on the pastic pieces was flaking off. I contacted customer service via email on Friday. Less than 30 min later, I got a reply (not a "we got your message", but an actual reply). The person apologized and said they had added a replacement to the delivery queue. Less than an hour after that, I had a tracking number and, on Monday I had a brand new unit, and a shipping label to send the old one back. Can't beat that with a stick!

Best customer service experience I’ve ever had. I purchased a Vaultek LifePod back in December and I had a minor issue with paint chipping off. I reached out to them and explained the situation. The very next day I received an email from Vaultek telling me they were sending me a new LifePod. It’s also coming with a return shipping label so I can return the old one. I love their products and the customer service was exceptional. I would recommend their safes to anyone in the market for one.

Decent Purchase, however, be very clear what your point and purpose of this is for ... it hold a firearm but to utilize the upper try it almost must be a micro. Otherwise...great purchase.

The safes are very well built and i have three different types that i use daily.

Ordered 5/2/23 per website item was in stock. It is 5/16/23 and still hasn't shipped. No info sent to me about a delay. I finally reached out and was told shipping is delayed till 5/23. Very disappointed .......

Hard to review a product you have not received yet.

Features are well thought out. Biometrics and key lock work quickly and very reliably. Vaultek knocked it out of the park on this design.

Great and easy to use safe for my home.

Incredible customer service and products. Aaron spent an hour on the phone with me dialing in my home security with three safes. I had been using the Gun Box on both floors of my house and my truck for single pistol safes where I needed quick access. I found The Gun Box products were garbage and just sucked. They worked about 40% of the time when doing practice drills with my wife or by myself. I was so frustrated. I found Vaultek and Aaron! He helped me with each individual application and walked me through safes for all three different needs. My wife even joined the call, and by the time we ended the call we were feeling better and confident. Thank you Vaultek! I will recommend you to all of my friends. The Smart Key Biometric is amazing.

The safe is the highest quality. Customer service is great. I will be buying another safe soon. That 8 gun module one.
