LifePod XR - Special Edition

I am very pleased with my LifePod XR Special Edition, which I purchased a month ago. It is really nice, and you can fit at least 4 pistols if you remove the hard pouch and soft tray. You can add 2 pistols at the bottom with some rounds and about 2 guns in the top tray. I think if I tried, I could fit 3 pistols in each compartment (with the tray on), but I have not tried yet. I purchased it because it is TSA Safe, and I travel a lot for work. It is also my range bag and my safe when I am away from home. So far, it has been a very good investment, to be honest. The only issues I had with it are that (1) it is now full of scratches on top of the case after my first plane trip with it, maybe from being slammed by baggage handlers. The plastic feels extremely sturdy but the very top layer with the details + branding, is prone to scratches when roughed up. Another thing is that (2) you cannot fit hearing protection, and for that, you might have to purchase the LifePod XT, which is bigger. I liked it that much that I just purchased the Lifepod XR Colin Noir Edition as a Christmas present for my husband because of the bigger size, and because he saw how convenient and versatile it was.

The safe is amazing, everything i need to keep my things secure. The better part was the customer service when I had questions. I will definitely purchase another item from Vaultek when I need another safe. No question, I'll look here first.

It state that's its in stock. Why do it take so long to ship? Other companies ships right away. Processing should be as fast as they take your money.

Delivered on time a seems to function perfectly.

For sure the best in its class currently on the market. Like everything there is always room for improvement. A bigger spring on the drawer may be needed at some point in the future with two full-size guns, the drawer is slow to open.

The safes are great quality, fitment is great. Really wish both of the safes I received opened by finger print… only one had that option and it is great and fast for at home.

I suppose we're witnessing the developmental period of portable gun safes, where we all try to figure out exactly the niche we're trying to fill. Me? I'm flying with my firearm and need to appease the TSA. But instead of employing a uni-tasker silly plastic case that anybody could open with a paper clip or a pair of scissors, I sought something that, post-travel, could actually secure, within reason, my pistol if, say, I were required to leave it in my hotel room or vehicle unattended. This device will do that. It's steel and heavy for its size, so be it, a trade off. Because it's got some actual theft-deterrent features like an anti-pry lock and internal hinges. Somebody without cable cutters and an angle grinder, for instance, will likely be deterred from bothering with it. You can choose to use a key vs. the 9-volt or USB charger (not included, BTW and an old-style, non-reversible jack, too, sorry) to open it. Note that Vaultek's newer models use a lithium battery and TSA doesn't like, at this point, lithium batteries. For the price, the foam layers inside appear low-grade, low-density, and doomed to disintegrate with any amount of hard use, oh well. But this model was $30 off and I'm otherwise satisfied for now.

Great correspondence and definitely quality products..

This is my first experience with a gun safe, even though I have been looking for one for a couple of years now. I came across the Vaultek Safes and decided to take a chance on them, as they appeared to be of excellent quality (which it turns out they are). I received my Vaultek and went through the Quick Setup routine, which was very straight-forward. I had some issues setting my Master Code, but emailed Support and they got back to me right away and solved my problem, which was user error on my part. Love the look of the safe, holds what I wanted to put in it with room to spare and has high quality safety processes for opening and securing within the home. This is my first safe, so we will see how it goes, but for now, I love it.

Love the space and accessories of the MXi. I have both the MXi and the ProVTi. The only issue I have is the biometric feature doesn’t always recognize my finger. I’ll be using the code if I ever need quick access
