I own a few vaulteks and they are always reliable.

This a quality safe! I’m not surprised at all, this is my 5th Vaultek safe and I’ve been impressed with each one. The Barikade 2 definitely didn’t disappoint.

Build quality is great and this safe is a great option for bedside or single gun storage, just make sure you are prepared to buy lots of 9V batteries because this dog eats! Not sure what “regular use means” but I open my safe at least twice daily, and my battery lasts maybe 6 weeks. You can plug this safe in but the usb port for the plug is on the front, so wildly inconvenient for a drawer safe application If you open your safe once a month this might not be an issue, if you carry or access your safe “regularly”, be aware of the battery life issue

The Barikade Sub-Compact is exactly what I was looking for and then some.

The Barikade Sub-Compact made me a Vaultek customer for life. Excellent quality and the keypad lock is perfect.

Giving the Barikade Sub-Compact 4 stars. The product itself is premium and the keypad lock is solid. Auto-open lid is fast. Only reason for 4 instead of 5 is the battery could last a bit longer between charges. But I'd still recommend it without hesitation.

Giving the Barikade Series 2 3 stars for now. The hardware and build quality are genuinely good. But the auto-open lid has been inconsistent and the setup process was more frustrating than it should have been. Customer support helped eventually. I think with some software updates this could be a 5-star product.

The Vaultek Barikade 2 delivers on every promise. The rechargeable battery works perfectly. Excellent product. My neighbor wants one now.

I'd recommend the Vaultek Barikade 2 to anyone looking for quality.

This is my second Vaultek product (first was a LifePod) and the Vaultek Barikade 2 continues the tradition of quality. Mounted on the wall. The rechargeable battery and keypad lock are both excellent. Starting to think I need a third one.

The Barikade Series 2 has potential but there are issues. Auto-open lid is fast which is nice, but the sub-compact doesn't always work on the first try. I've had to reset it twice already. Build quality is good though — it's really just the software side that needs improvement. Will update if things get better.

Switched from another brand to the Barikade Sub-Compact and the difference is night and day. Quick access was the main selling point. The ultra-compact is so much better and the overall quality is in another league. Should have switched sooner.

Great Safe! Excellent Customer Service. Safe purchased ~2 years ago failed. The team sent a new power cord, and when that did not fix the issue, they helped me ship it back for repair. Quick turn around as well! 10/10
