Customers praised the "outstanding build quality" and "fast, reliable" quick access features. Many called it the "best safe" they've owned. The auto-open lid and keypad lock received high marks. However, some noted battery life concerns with frequent use, inconsistent auto-open performance, and setup complexity. A few mentioned it doesn't fit full-size magazines well.
Vaultek safes are amazing to me. Everyone I have purchased meets or exceeds my needs. I bout the Barikade as a travel safe as I travel with 2 and extra mags that fit perfectly. Thanks again for another awesome product.

This a quality safe! I’m not surprised at all, this is my 5th Vaultek safe and I’ve been impressed with each one. The Barikade 2 definitely didn’t disappoint.
Build quality is great and this safe is a great option for bedside or single gun storage, just make sure you are prepared to buy lots of 9V batteries because this dog eats! Not sure what “regular use means” but I open my safe at least twice daily, and my battery lasts maybe 6 weeks. You can plug this safe in but the usb port for the plug is on the front, so wildly inconvenient for a drawer safe application If you open your safe once a month this might not be an issue, if you carry or access your safe “regularly”, be aware of the battery life issue

Ordered a Barikade series 2 from Costco, but it arrived damaged as Costco shipped it in a Bag instead of a box. Reached out to Vaultek customer service and they immediately sent out a replacement! Extremely quick responses solved my issue.

Very smooth ordering process and delivery. The Barikade Series are very well made pistol safes inside and out. Excellent quality. I also have the Series 1 w/ biometric, which was my main motivator in purchasing the Series 2. Both have the cool slots built in to keep small cards. Nice idea to integrate that. Also the interior LED so someone can see what they’re doing in low light. Another nice idea. Keep up the great work ! I would highly recommend either Barikade Series product.
Safe quality is exceptional, it’s my third safe from VAULTEK , only issue is fingerprint won’t work sometimes, have to retry many times before it recognizes, and for that price WIFI version should be added
Awesome safe. Screwed and cabled down. Very secure. Holds a compact and spare magazine with ample room. Biometrics allow quick access when needed.

The safe is very safe, manufactured with an incredible finish, extremely technological, I am simply impressed with this equipment. Before buying the safe, I sent some emails to VAULTEK, and they answered me immediately and exactly.

Fast Shipping. Quality product. Very handy. I've used one for years. When the need for another lockbox came up, no question that I would get another one.
It's a good company. But the differences between the portable safes, especially their layouts and capacities, were not clear enough. I ended up ordering a safe that couldn't hold my regular pistol (4" barrel) because it stuck up a bit too high, so the lid of the safe won't close with it in there. I needed a safe with a layout that would allow the pistol to lay on its side, but this was never clear in the ordering process.
It is a great product with well thought out details.
The programming for the code never worked! The safe would not function properly in order to enter a code.
Pretty good support, had problem shipping to a wrong address, they corrected it quickly. Safe is good, no problems.

Vaultek Barikade Series 2 Biometric. Terrible product. First purchase, package did not have owners manual nor keys to open. Returned for a replacement. Opened the replacement, this time once 9V battery (brand new battery as well) was connected it did not turn on. No customer support response. Returning for my money back. As an ex law enforcement officer, I will not be recommending this product to anyone.

This is my second safe. I have the smaller one for my knives, and the new larger one for my guns. They are on my nightstand in my bedroom for easy access. I have grandchildren and know the can’t access the safe because of the security features.
I was impressed with the quality of the safe and nano key. The instructions for setup were easy and straight forward, and everything worked as it should the first time. I recommended it to a buddy of mine.
Design of product. It's a great product. Just what I imagined. The one and only flaw. I wish the clock functioned as an alarm clock. Every other part of the product and shipping of it was excellent.
Super fast shipping. Love the sling bag and how the life pod fits in the bag. I wish I could use the bag a bit easier for just concealed carry without the life pod. I can't wait to use this while traveling for work and for pleasure.
