Like my other two Vaultek safes, the biometric scanner is really a poor means of accessing the safe. Really disappointing for such a well designed product. I’m glad that it has an access code, otherwise, it’s pretty useless.
Top of the line portable gun case well worth the money. Very happy with my purchase. Definitely would recommend this case. Built solid for the long haul.

I have several of their safes. The phone charger on one of them stopped charging. I sent them a message and they had a new one out to me the next day, no questions asked and I had it two days later. They sent a return label so all I had to do is put the old one the box, slap on the label and take it to Fedex. Can't ask for better support than this!!! A good company with some great products.

I purchased the Vaultek VS20i safe. The safe is great and I would give it a 5 star if not for one small detail. When setting up the safe, I followed the manual to the letter. The manual states that following insertion of the battery, there would be a beep. There was no sound. Upon completion of entering a new master code, the keys were to flash green and there was to be a beep. No beep. When completing the entering of fingerprints, the keys flash and there was to be a beep. No beep. When using the key to enter the safe, the keys are to flash red and there are to be beeps for 10 seconds. You got it. No sound. I contacted Vaultek and they sent me a new safe. I returned the first one and set up the new one. Problem. No beeps. They contacted me about the first safe. They stated that the repair team could hear the tone and they wondered if the frequency of the tone is the reason I could not hear it. Well, I used the key to enter the safe and I placed my ear within two to three inches of the safe and I could just barely hear this very faint tone beeping for 10 seconds. It was not the frequency of the tone, but its intensity that is the issue. I raised the pitch to the highest level and still could barely hear it with my ear next to the safe. Now for all intent and purpose, I could do without the tone except for the last feature that uses the tone to alert the owner of low battery. If you are going to have a device produce a sound as an indicator, make it loud enough that one can hear it across the room. If I want to reduce the level, I can change the setting for the pitch to level 2 (medium) or even 1 (low). Customer service was great except when they became a little condescending with their saying that the frequency maybe out of my hearing range and that I should have someone else verify the sound. As stated, the Vaultek safe is, I think, the best. But they need to make the unit sound off so it can be heard by anyone. Poor design of the electronics in regard to the sound. However, I would still recommend this safe. Oh, BTW, I can only get my SigSauer P365-XMACRO Comp and one mag in the safe. So don't expect to get two guns in the safe unless they are very small guns.
Very secure and reliable construction. I am overall satisfied with the vault but would recommend the following improvements. The opening mechanism could be improved to open the door to a fully opened vault as opposed to just the unlocking state. The biometric finger scanning works about 70% of the time so sometimes I have to access the vault using my PIN instead.
If you haven't seen one, it's bigger than you think ;) This is my first Vaultek purchase, and you definitely will have a return customer. Responds fast and is solid.
Shipper (FedEx) lost my package and supplier (Vaultek) will not refund my credit card after 30 days of going back and forth.

I like that it's fast to get into when I have to. I have 2 the 1.0 & 2.0 the 1.0 has the biometric and works great. I leave it in my car or when my wife and I are staying at a hotel. This my safe I don't use the hotel safe.The 2.0 is my travel in suitcase I wish I had gotten the biometric version for that. I told my cousin he should get one. I sent a picture to my buddy telling him to get one.
